Wild-Caught Shrimp Summit
The Wild-Caught Shrimp Summit (sponsored by Marine Stewardship Council) is the industry gathering for the wild-capture sector at the Global Shrimp Forum. With wild-capture accounting for a quarter of global shrimp and prawn production, consumer demand remains highly resilient across both retail and foodservice.
However, the sector faces pressing environmental and management challenges, from bycatch reduction and stock health to climate change and effective governance. In response, many fisheries are investing heavily in advanced management systems, gear innovation, and robust monitoring programs to ensure long-term resource sustainability and ecosystem health.
This session will bring together industry experts to analyze the latest trade developments in wild-capture shrimp, with a specific spotlight on India, Argentina, and Northern Europe. Additionally, we will explore the evolving sustainability and ESG landscape through the unique lenses of retailers, fisheries, and investors.
