Agentic AI: The Next Operating System for Shrimp Businesses

Agentic AI is moving artificial intelligence beyond analysis, forecasting and content generation. The next wave of AI systems will be able to follow instructions, connect data, coordinate workflows, support decisions and trigger actions across business operations.

For shrimp companies, this has direct implications. Processing plants, feed mills and integrated farming businesses all depend on complex daily coordination: raw material flows, production planning, labour, quality control, customer specifications, inventory, logistics, farm performance, procurement and reporting. Agentic AI has the potential to reduce friction across these workflows, improve decision-making and allow teams to spend less time searching for information and more time acting on it.

This closing plenary will explore what Agentic AI means in practice for the shrimp industry. Remy Gieling will open the session with a keynote on the rise of AI agents and the agentic enterprise. This will be followed by product pitches from SolarPunk and PatternLab, two companies bringing AI applications into shrimp and manufacturing operations, including use cases connected to major Indian shrimp groups.

The session will conclude with a panel featuring Remy Gieling, Maarten Bijl, CEO of Skretting, and Nickhilesh Alluri, Executive Director of Avanti Frozen Foods. The discussion will focus on how Agentic AI is already being implemented, how it is changing the way teams work, where it creates measurable value, and where human judgment, operational complexity or data limitations still set clear boundaries.
