Plenary Closing

The Global Shrimp Forum 2025 will conclude with a plenary session that combines market insights, fresh perspectives, and forward-looking dialogue.
We begin with a short- and mid-term outlook for global shrimp demand and supply. Angel Rubio and Gary Morrison, two of the industry’s most respected market analysts, will be joined by Yutaka Watanabe, CEO of a major US importer and part of Japan’s Marubeni Corporation. Guided by moderator Travis Larkin, the panel will reflect on current dynamics and discuss what the coming months may hold for producers, traders, and buyers.
In a special segment, we welcome The Twisted Chef, one of Europe’s most influential young food creators. At just 18 years old and son of the owner of a renowned sustainable seafood brand, he has built a strong following with his “Very Delicious, Very Easy” recipes. On stage, he will share his ideas on how to inspire his generation to discover and enjoy shrimp.
Finally, we bring together three leaders representing different stages of their professional journeys—early-career, mid-career, and late-career—for a candid conversation about the long-term future of the shrimp industry. Their diverse perspectives will provide a fitting conclusion to three days of debate, inspiration, and exchange at this year’s Global Shrimp Forum.
