Global Shrimp Forum Moves to June from 2027

Global Shrimp Forum moves to June from 2027

The sixth edition of the Global Shrimp Forum will take place on 22–24 June 2027 in Utrecht, the Netherlands, marking a significant change to the Forum's traditional place in the international seafood industry calendar.

Following consultation with key partners and stakeholders across the shrimp industry, the Global Shrimp Forum Board has decided to move the event from September to June, starting in 2027.

Since its inaugural edition in 2022, the Global Shrimp Forum has taken place in early September, bringing together industry leaders and stakeholders from across the global shrimp value chain. However, with the international seafood and aquaculture events calendar becoming increasingly crowded between August and October, the time has come for a change.

Moving to June will create more space in the international industry calendar and make the Forum more accessible to delegates from around the world. The new dates will also avoid the busy late-summer period, the return to school for many European families and the US Labor Day weekend.

Following a successful fifth anniversary edition in September 2026, the Global Shrimp Forum looks forward to welcoming the global shrimp industry back to Utrecht in June 2027 for another three days of knowledge sharing, networking and collaboration.
