Dhanakoti Ramesh Kumar is the CEO of Salem Microbes Private Limited has a master’s degree in medical microbiology – Faculty of Medicine from University of Madras and an interdisciplinary doctoral degree.
He has wide experience in Isolation identification of Probiotic candidates using traditional and modern informatics approach for their potential applications in Aquaculture. Salem Microbes has been one of the innovators in Probiotics and are known for their path breaking and cost-effective product formulations.
With the arising technological need for a targeted approach in disease management, Salem Microbes initiated bacteriophage research on aquaculture Bacteriophages in 2018. With introduction of technically effective and commercially affordable bacteriophages formulations in 2023 for Vibrio, Aeromonas, Salmonella and E.coli in preharvest and Post harvest applications, Salem Microbes is making an impact in Aquaculture and Poultry Value chain of India through this technology which also assures establishment of favorable microbiota of the treated animal.
