Dr. Massaut is a biologist with a master’s degree in Aquatic Ecology from the University of Namur in Belgium and a Ph.D. in Aquaculture from Auburn University in the USA. Prior to her tenure at BioMar Ecuador, she worked as the Technical Director of the National Chamber of Aquaculture, the Ecuadorian shrimp industry association, and as a researcher at the Ecuadorian National Center for Aquaculture and Marine Research (CENAIM-ESPOL). She has also lectured at the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) in Ecuador. With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Massaut has numerous scientific and technical publications focusing on aquaculture, environmental impact, shrimp culture efficiency, production ecosystem management, and cyanobacteria control.
