David Bravo is a global executive with over 25 years of leadership experience at the intersection of science, innovation, and business transformation in multinational nutrition and biotechnology organizations. He currently serves as Chief Science Officer at Nutreco, where he leads the company’s global science agenda.
He is the founder of NutEx, Nutreco’s integrated discovery platform, which he scaled from a one-person initiative into a global, multidisciplinary organization spanning 25 nationalities and specialized expertise in plant and microbial sciences.
Throughout his career, David has driven large-scale organizational transformation, aligning R&D, regulatory, marketing, and commercial functions to accelerate innovation to market and deliver measurable business impact. Prior to Nutreco, he held executive leadership roles at Land O’Lakes and Pancosma, where he led enterprise innovation strategy and cross-functional integration.
An accomplished scientist, he has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, contributed to Nature Reviews, and holds more than 20 patent applications. He is a frequent speaker at international scientific and industry forums.
David completed executive education at Harvard Business School and holds advanced degrees in nutrition, physiology, molecular science, and modelling.
