Shrimp x Tech x Innovation: Indoor Farming

Shrimp farming of the future by Ark, Incorporated (www.ark.inc)
Scope /

Around the world, indoor fish and shrimp farms continue to attract substantial investment, driven by the promise of controlled production and local supply. Yet despite this influx of capital, many farms are still struggling to reach profitability.

In this session, Matt Craze will provide an up-to-date overview of the global indoor shrimp farming landscape, offering insights into the performance of key projects he tracks. We will then hear from Eva Keferböck of White Panther (Austria) and Daniel Russek of Atarraya (USA), who will share how their companies are navigating the opportunities and challenges of indoor shrimp farming in Europe and the United States.

The session will be moderated by Ohad Maiman, former CEO of The Kingfish Company and now actively involved in ventures such as The Black Cod Company and Farm in a Box. Drawing on his broad experience, Ohad will guide a candid discussion and reflect on what the shrimp industry can learn from the development of indoor fish farms.
