Sara Barrento, PhD

Dr Sara Barrento is a marine biologist with over 18 years’ experience spanning academia, international research, and global training delivery. She is Head of Training at FAI, where she leads FAI Academy, The Shrimp and Tilapia Hubs designing practical learning that translates complex science, standards, and welfare requirements into real‑world action across countries, roles, and languages. Sara is Portuguese and lives in Wales, in her spare time, you will find her mountain biking, surfing, or doing yoga.
