Alfons van Duijvenbode is Managing Partner at Globally Cool and External Expert at CBI, with more than 30 years of experience in international trade promotion, export strategy and sector development. He has worked in over 50 countries, advising companies, industry associations and public institutions on market positioning, branding, sustainability and international competitiveness.
Alfons has extensive experience in seafood and aquaculture. From 2014 to 2018, he led a branding and promotion programme for Vietnam’s pangasius industry with VASEP and CBI, strengthening the sector’s positioning and promotional capabilities in European markets. He also developed seafood promotion strategies in Indonesia and Ecuador.
At the Global Shrimp Forum, Alfons will facilitate a session on developments in Vietnam’s shrimp industry, including innovative strategies to improve sustainability, strengthen disease resistance and advance zero-antibiotic production, while exploring how these initiatives can build buyer confidence and enhance Vietnam’s competitiveness in global markets.
