Dr. Nimnual Piewthongngam (Nim) has extensive, field-based experience in advancing sustainable fisheries in India. She has played a key role in the development of the Small Pelagic Purse Seine Fisheries, Karnataka State FIP, working closely with government agencies, fishmeal producers, and coastal communities throughout the multi-stakeholder engagement process. Following the successful acceptance of the Karnataka FIP by MarinTrust, she now serves as the FIP Coordinator, overseeing its implementation while also consulting on the development of new FIPs in the coastal states of India.

Beyond fisheries, Dr. Nimnual is a committed advocate for sustainability across Southeast Asia. She actively promotes ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) integration for SMEs, has authored practical ESG toolkits, and advises Thai government agencies and ASEAN-level bodies on embedding sustainability into policies, business practices, and institutional frameworks.
