Fred Kao is the Group CEO of SyAqua Group, a global leader transforming shrimp aquaculture through cutting-edge genetics and hatchery nutrition. With over 25 years of experience in animal genetics and agribusiness, Fred brings a rare combination of technical expertise, commercial savvy, and global leadership to the forefront of sustainable aquaculture innovation.
His career spans two decades with renowned poultry genetics giants Aviagen and Cobb, where he rose through the ranks from operations to become Managing Director for Asia Pacific. In these roles, he led large-scale expansions, launched new genetic lines, and built high-performing teams across complex international markets.
Fred later brought his strategic vision to Amlan International, a U.S.-based feed additive company, where he led growth initiatives across the Americas and Asia—expanding reach, deepening market penetration, and driving value for producers worldwide.

From genetic R&D to customer outcomes, he understands how to deliver performance-driven solutions that improve productivity and profitability at scale.
